Hello, for the last few years I have found that my TMAU has got worse in the winter months (I live in the U.K.) has anyone else found that cold temperature effects their TMAU? I saw Dr Lachmann and he didn't think there was a particular link but I wanted to see if anyone else is experiencing this? I am aware of my TMAU so can identify when it is worse and at the moment it is pretty bad and I thought it might be the way the body reacts to the cold? It may just be a coincidence though!

I am not sure but I have the impression it got worse when I am very cold or very hot.

Hi Rosie,

My TMAU is always worse in winter because I need to eat more food to stay warm, and I also naturally drink less water as I'm not trying to stay cool. I find that forcing myself to drink water, green tea and peppermint tea throughout the day and also wrapping up warm and eating high kcal fruits and vegetables stops the seasonal variation from being so pronounced.

Don't know if that helps!
