waiting 2 months for test results. Isn't it too much?

Postby dev » Sun Jun 16, 2013 5:14 pm

My GP says my urine samples are being tested in Sheffield.

I am still waiting for the results.

Is it normal to wait more than 2 months? I don't want to get paranoid, but I find it very hard to believe. Has someone else waited or heard anyone waiting for more than 2 months?... Ever?

Hi,

Yes, 2 months is about right, you could ask Nigel Manning for the results, his details can be found on the interweb, give him a ring.

The fact is that I start the tests in March.

I filled two bottles: 1 completely empty and 1 more with borax (?) salts inside.

About 3 weeks later I received a letter reading the urine samples supplied were faulty and I had repeat the tests.

I repeated the tests on the middle of April and I am still waiting. I will wait a bit more and contact Nigel in case I get no results.

Thank you very much.

Hi

They test samples in batches, so they need to wait to collect enough samples. Not sure how big a batch is. Maybe 24 or 48 or something. All tests done by chromatography are usually done in batches due to economical reasons.
