Stool sample and blood tests

Postby Adrian » Thu Nov 24, 2011 5:39 pm

Hi, I wnet to the GP this week about a problem i've been having for the last few months (loose stools).

He asked me to give a stool sample (blue top) and blood tests to see if I have any food intolerances.

Has anyone had anything like this tested before?

Ill keep you all posted on teh results.

Thats interesting flower, when I had a urine sample taken years ago it flagged up proteins aswell. If these tests come back with it flagged up again I will be looking into controling that through diet. Did you GP offer any advice about how to control the protein levels?

Hi Adrian,

The GP didn't give me any information about how to control the protein levels.
As far as I know my blood tests always were normal.
It's only the stools test that was showing that there is some problems with proteins.
I am trying to diet and don't eat much choline and try to limit proteins in food.
