I did not know that there was help out there in the wider world. Many thanks to Ellie and the Daily Mail - next doctors visit may allow some progress to be made after about 5 years !! :D :)

I would like to thank Ellie. Thank You.

I am a 53yr old man and can remember people starting to make remarks from the age of 16, I started smoking around then, that masked the smell, (people who smoke have a poor sense of smell) I liked to associate with those people!.

In my early twenties I noticed people starting to make remarks again, so started many years of GP's telling me it's all in my head. Referrals to psychoanalyst's of course proved a waste of time, as did the numerous dental visits and blood tests and cameras down my throat and up my backside, one thing did come to light Acid Reflux.

Due to Ellie James I did some looking around the web and not only found this site full of brave people who carry on with every day life just as I have done for the past 37yrs, but have found information relevant to my symptoms and will be going to my GP today armed with these facts so as to finally convince her it's not in my Bloody Head.

Thanks everyone and bless you - glad it's helped!

It's never easy to talk about, let alone deal with. xx
