We are extremely privileged to welcome Dr. Colin Dolphin to the forums.

Dr Dolphin is an expert in the FMO3 gene and was part of the team who first demonstrated that mutations in the FMO3 gene are the cause of the inherited (primary form) of TMAU.

As a non-clinical research scientist Dr Dolphin cannot offer any medical advice, however if you have any questions or would like to know more about the basic science surrounding the FMO3 gene, the enzyme (also simply called FMO3) that it codes for and their relationship to TMAU then he would be happy to try and help.

This is a fantastic asset to have and I'm sure I speak for everyone in saying a massive thank you to Dr Dolphin to kindly offer his unsurpassed expertise and knowledge.
