Cheese?

Postby Dom » Tue May 17, 2011 12:01 am

This is going to sound strange, but does anyone know if eating cheese can affect the level or strength of the smell?

I ask this because i used to have cheese every day, in my sandwich for lunch, but i suddenly stopped. The smell seems to be occurring a bit less often now, but i don't know if it's just my mind playing tricks on me...

Anyone got any clues?

Hi Dom, not a strange question at all, I'd like to see some replies to this one :) I eat it regularly cos it improves the celery, but always feel guilty. One of the ladies I met with severe Tmau surprised me by ordering wedgies with cheddar :o but said that as long as the cheese was mild it was ok for her :D Everyone seems to have different experiences with food, but it's good to have feedback. Gives a generalization..... Back in the mists of time I might remember that it has a bad effect on Lisa and sk..... what spread did you use on your sarnies? kittyx

Hi both
Yes, you are right Kittycat, feta has a terrible effect on me (even small amounts).
But a little cream cheese and a little mild cheddar is ok (but not too many days in a row either!).
Also, avoid goats cheese in particular, as one of the really bad smelly cheeses.

Also, when I buy a block of mild cheddar cheese I cut it up into smaller cubes and freeze them.
Then, I can eat it very gradually without it going off before I ever finish it.

scientific paper says avoid 'milk from wheat fed cows'and therefore cheee etc. doesnt mention sheep goats etc. organic cows more likely grass than wheat fed so maybe better.
