Newbie help! Meal ideas?

Postby Harley » Tue Sep 27, 2016 9:28 pm

Hi everyone, I want to start a low choline diet but struggling to think of actual meals lol. Could anyone please give me an idea of what you eat on an average day please?

Also as I excercise alot and need to add some carbs and protein to my diet? any suggesions on low choline options?

Thanks in advance x

Hi, my diet normally consists of

Breakfast Mixed fruits - (melon, strawberries, blueberries with a teaspoon of honey).
Cornflakes with rice milk

Lunch Oat cakes with avocado or dairy free cheese spread
odd occasion 2 slices of white bread with wafer thin chicken

Dinner Homemade soup (carrots, turnip, parsnip, potatoes, tomatoes, tiny amount of onion and kale, veggie stock cube with a little turmeric)
Salad with avocado and olives
Rice noodles with roasted mushrooms, courgettes, aubergine, tomatoes

Snacks plain crisps
Apple crisps

Drinks herbal tea
lemon, honey and water
Rice milk with added calcium

This is basically what I eat most days but on a Friday I eat normally, really just to get some protein in my diet, I feel the low choline diet is very hard to stick to but my GP has referred me to a dietician so hopefully I can come back with some more ideas for you or maybe if you speak to your GP he could refer you too. Hope this helps a little.
