Hi All,

Your participation is needed (please !!) and will help to improve TMAU services, support and information. :D

The questionnaire has been formulated by the dietiticans at the Charles Dent Metabolic Unit,
National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery

Please read all the information below before completing the questionnaire.

PLEASE ONLY COMPLETE THIS QUESTIONNAIRE IF YOU HAVE A CONFIRMED TMAU DIAGNOSIS. IF YOU SUSPECT THAT YOU MIGHT HAVE TMAU PLEASE CONTACT YOUR NEAREST HEALTH CARE PROVIDER.

This questionnaire is about the dietary and non-dietary management of TMAU. We would also like to know more about how you learnt about TMAU, what sources of information you use for support and how TMAU affects your daily life.

Please take some time (approximately 20 to 30 minutes) to complete this questionnaire. Your responses will provide important information that will help us to improve our service and offer better support and advice. Your answers will be completely anonymous and confidential. The results of the questionnaire will be published on the TMAU support network (http://www.tmau.org.uk/) once analysed.

Hi

having probs with the survery =paypal strip at bottom masking par t of the questions and sometimes next button giving a blank screen so not sure if previous page has been saved or have to starrt again. Thought Id better say in case its not just me having problems and you think no ones bothered to complete the survey :)

Thanks very much for pointing that out smelly. ;)
I have edited the first post above so people affected should open the survey in a new window/tab and will therefore not get the problem.

(It's due to change in the hyperlink coding in the latest version of the forum - they used to automatically open in a new window, now they open in the same which is the cause of the issue - I'll have to look at changing the code)

People accessing the forum via

http://www.tmau.org.uk/chat or accessing the survey via the member email will not get the problem in any case.

This is a great opportunity to get the agenda onto what most of us seem to describe as our symptom, fecal body odour, rather than fish odour (they mention fecal odour in the survey, probably because say to him that is their symptom). Then presumably all the metabolites will be looked for rather than just TMA.

Whoever publishes a medical paper on people smelling of feces through their pores or breath will be the first to publish such a paper and hopefully that will be the start of correct treatment etc.
