:D Hi All

Just me again to let you know that I have done an item on TMAU with the Yorkshire Post and it was in todays (Thursday July 29) paper.

I think they have done a very good job of it and it really gets it over to people. All the lads on site where I was working said this helped them to understand.

Well every time this gets an airing the more people know its not just us being unclean but a genuine problem.

Hope all of you are well and keep smiling.

Can someone tell me why not the skin on potatoes. If you look at the USDA choline chart, they list white potatoes with skin.

i was told some charts r out of date so u should listen 2 ur own specialist n go with wot works 4 u, becausse i think u can eat the skins but they r higher....but every 1 with tmau is differnt so wot works 4 1 person may not work 4 the other its a big case of trial n error because even the doctors dont no much :D

8-) Hi Everyone

Just to explain the potato thing...

USDA database example: 100 gram Potato French fried 22mg average portion (for me) 400g = 88mg
This is a lot of Choline and when added to other items you are taking in too much!

It is allright saying 100g is OK but who only eats 100g certainly not me!

2 medium potatoes are 0ver 400g, when I have mash I would eat at least 2 large potatoes, this is over 500g, it soon adds up.

If you are happy to eat small portions you will be fine with potatoes but I am a pretty big fellow and need a good size dinner after a hard days work so potatoes are not good for my personal diet. This is what was mentioned in the article for the YP.

I hope this explains my comment, ' even potatoes are bad for me '
